A New Unified Theory

A summary of papers on a set of theories which show an alternative path for the development of theoretical physics from 1905 resulting in a unified theory of electricity, magnetism, gravity, and inertia. It explores the route open to Lorentz, had he know of the Rutherford atom and the three quark model of nucleons, before Einstein published his theory of relativity. It is possible that with only slight changes in our understanding of the nature of magnetic fields and induction, that we can account for the inertial mass of an elementary particle consisting of nothing but a spherical charge and finite radius. The concept of an ether is rejected and detailed herein. Additionally put forth is the theory that gravity results from the internal stress of the electric field of individual charges which minutely distort space, and this would also explain the observed dependence of clock rate on gravitational potential.
